Common Questions About Training
Q) How much does Equipping Hearts training cost?
A) We are a non-profit ministry. To make sure that our training remains as affordable as possible – and helps support the ministry of Equipping Hearts – our Board of Directors requires that all training in the United States include:
- Reimbursement for all airfare, transportation and accommodation expenses
- A fee of $500
- A love offering taken from the ministry and participants.
Q) Can we make donations or support you as missionaries?
A) Yes! We would appreciate any donations. We currently accept donations via Paypal in either monthly installments or a onetime amount. Please make all checks payable to Equipping Hearts, and mail them to:

Q) Are my donations tax-deductible
A) Because Equipping Hearts is a 501(c)3 ministry, your donation may be fully deductible.
Q) Where can we purchase Thriving or Restarting materials?
A) To purchase materials for Restarting or Thriving – or to find out more about these programs, please visit the Thriving: Recover Your Life website.
Q) Can we order audio or video copies of your training from another location?
A) The Thriving: Recover Your Life website has all the materials that we have available, including lectures from the Track IV of the 2007 Thrive conference with Ed and Jim Wilder. This website has many other materials that are essential for learning about joy, recovery and the brain.
Q) What types of teaching formats do you use?
A) We use interactive lecture, interactive group work, group process, individual ministry, mentoring, and experiential learning. We present most of our workshops from a laptop computer using a combination of music, video and PowerPoint slides.
Q) Can we get a copy of the PowerPoint’s you use in your presentations?
A) Due to licensing agreements and restrictions, any Power Point slides that contain content from Thriving: Recover Your Life cannot be released. The text from all slides used in The Restarting DVD series are contained in the Restarting Workbook and Facilitator Guide. The Restarting DVD series and the Restarting Workbook and Facilitator Guide can be purchased from the Thriving: Recover Your Life website.
