Training focuses on a joy filled process of recovery which will allow students to develop practical ministry strategies that are both clinically and Biblically sound. Students of Equipping Hearts and Restarting training often find that they not only learn how to better serve the needs of their client's, but they also receive an abundance of joy in their own lives as well. Joy-filled recovery always spills over to others - allowing joy to overflow from one person to the next!

Equipping Hearts also offers a wide range of training designed specifically for the needs and interests of its students based on individual ministry and work settings. Our workshops have included formal classroom settings where we’ve taught clinical subjects such as “Treatment Planning” and “Group Therapy.” We frequently teach “Trauma, Abuse and Addiction Recovery” for Youth With A Mission’s Addictive Behavioral Counseling Schools at many locations around the world. At other times, we help participants grow in their relationship with Jesus, as we lead retreats with topics such as “Learning to Listen to God” and “Healing.” Whether you need training to help prepare students to work recovery settings – or want to help others grow spiritually, Equipping Hearts is ready to work with you to help design training that best serve you.

As mentioned earlier, the healing part of the Equipping Hearts ministry goes hand in hand with training. We believe that ministering to a student’s needs, hearts and wounds is an essential part of training them to do the same for others. When the hearts of pastors, workers and leaders are being healed, they are empowered to minister to others whose hearts are broken through trauma, addiction and life controlling problems. Equipping Hearts teaches group processes that build joy and relationship with Jesus and with others. We’ve found that these joy empowered relationships help create fertile grounds for deep personal healing. When we learn to hear and experience the presence of Jesus with us in both good and bad times, profound and lasting healing from emotional wounds and trauma can be achieved.
